The Research
Research was conducted with Business Managers and Sales Representatives to indicate pain points, establish goals, and generate feedback. This was done using various methods including: Surveys, Focus Groups, User Testing & More.



The Pain Points

Tedious and Busy Interfaces - need to simplify the actions needed to complete complex sales processes.

Outdated UI - need to update UI to increase intuitiveness and accessibility.

Uninspiring Data - need to display more motivational data points to encourage Sales Representatives.
The Solution
The goal was to cultivate a user experience that compels high performance and minimizes time waste while displaying metrics and incentives that tie directly to corporate objectives.

Variable Compensation Calculator
A tool sales reps use to calculate their possible future compensation. A sales rep can enter info based on expected deals, bonuses, awards, and more.
ENHANCEMENTS:

Preloaded User Data - minimizes time sales reps spend entering information.

Increased Data Points - allows for more personalized calculations.

Award/Bonus Visibility - boosts sales rep motivation to perform.

Enhanced UI - data is viewed in a clear and concise manner.

Earnings Statement
A report utilized by Managers during yearly meetings with direct reports to aid conversations about growth, potential earnings, and overall performance.
ENHANCEMENTS:

One Page Report - Managers previously had to switch between two different reports to discuss prior and potential earnings.

Direct Report Picklist - allows Managers to easily switch between direct reports. Decreased load time.

Award/Bonus Visibility - boosts sales rep motivation to perform.

Data Visualization - the UI and metric presentation are simplified and improved to allow for easy interpretation.

Dynamic Compensation Plan
A new page sales reps will use to view their compensation plan. Previously reps had to scroll through pages of documents to find their role-specific plan information, but now the Dynamic Comp Plan will only load the personalized plan info that applies to them.
ENHANCEMENTS:

Personalized User Data - minimizes time sales reps spend scrolling through pages of plans looking for their info.

Dynamic Information - allows for information to be automatically updated, instead of sending out new documents every time changes are made.

Visibility of Role Info - "Your Information" section allows the sales rep to view critical data relating to their plan metrics.
